Ronald Reagan had an addiction that very few people knew about.

The American president, the 40th and one of the oldest to be elected, was a candy addict, but not just any candy, specifically Jelly Beans. These candies are very famous in the United States, a “sweet bean” with different flavors, and when I say different, I mean that they can range from strawberry flavor to vomit flavor (yes, seriously).

But what is Reagan’s relationship with these candies, and why did he receive a large shipment every month?
